The Back Story

 

FutureLab is an ed-tech startup providing mentorship programs for young adults. Their objective is to bridge the gap between education and industry to help our youth gain better insights when applying for jobs.

 

The Challenge

 

The startup has been active since 2016 but still face challenges on educating and informing the public on the benefits of mentoring. This proved to be a major setback in trying to onboard new leads and persuading leads to pay a minimal fee for a mentoring session.

The founder noticed an opportunity for improved digital marketing campaigns and felt that the lack of it was the primary reason for their stagnation. There were no processes in place for online marketing activities and was very much executed in a spontaneous manner.

 

The Solution

 

A 360 overhaul of their entire funnel, starting with a website redesign and fresh landing page copy aimed at increasing conversions, followed by a thorough email campaign aimed at nurturing and converting leads from different stages of the funnel.

Social Media marketing was also taken to new heights with improved branding via themed organic social media postings and regular live webinars.

Facebook and Instagram Ad strategies were also created to reach leads beyond Malaysia with the use of an Ebook containing insights to Employment in 2020. This led to over 200 new emails collected.

FutureLab’s B2B sales funnel was also being optimized to help the Business Development Team onboard new leads more efficiently and in line with digital marketing campaigns.

  • 58% sign up increase over 2 months

  • MYR 0.50 CPA on Facebook based on MYR 25 lead value

  • 215 new leads for MYR 108 based on MYR 25 lead value

  • 600% increase in brand engagement
